We get by with a little help from our friends.

This is Kristie and Jeff:

We are so, so lucky to have friends like Kristie and Jeff. They took us in for four days and showed us an amazing time. Jeff is Doug's best friend from high school and we are blessed to have them as grown-up friends. We had such a great time with them in St. Peter that we actually forgot to take pictures. We played disc golf, watched cartoons, stuffed ourselves with great food, drank some kick-ass beer that Jeff made, played with the kitties, chatted up a storm, slept in and were generally shown a good time. Kristie kicked my butt on a run and Jeff got Doug out in a field to practice events for the Highland Games - which he competes in. He may have convinced Doug to sign up for later this summer. Doug in a kilt? Throwing things? Amazing.

The bottom line is that we can't say enough fantastic things about what a pleasure it was to be with our friends, that we miss for the rest of the year, for four whole days. Seriously, they're that great.

Additionally, a shout out goes to our other Minnesota pals, Alyssa and Shawn. We only got to see them for a few hours but we enjoyed every minute of it. We love you guys.
